There are so many reasons why I love this project. I love capturing the bond between mama and baby (or babies : )). I love seeing women support other women. I love giving mothers the gift of these photos that perfectly capture this time in their lives.
I could go on about the necessity of a project like this (yes, EVEN in 2016), but not today. Today, I will just let the images speak for themselves. I will just let you see the gaze of these sweet babies as they look up at the women who have birthed them and sustained them and loved them unconditionally. I will just show you the looks of joy on those mamas’ faces while they look down at their proudest accomplishments.
A special thanks to all of the breastfeeding mothers in Gainesville who came out to participate. And a huge thank you to Satchel’s Pizza for hosting us and being not only supportive, but enthusiastic. Happy Breastfeeding Awareness Month! Follow the circle to see the next PBAP photographer.
