It was by pure serendipity that I was able to photograph Manuel’s birth on September 19. His parents, Justina and Manny, are wonderful friends of mine, but they live about two hours away, so I wasn’t sure if birth photos would be in the picture (see what I did there? ;)). The day before little Manny was born, Justina and I and our group of girlfriends were all having a live chat session while she was at the hospital. Her water had broken the day before and she and Manny were patiently waiting for labor to pick up and for their baby’s arrival. Fortunately, this gave me enough time to pack up my own kiddos and make it down to Orlando to capture everything for them! They did not know whether they were having a girl or a boy, so my favorite sequence of photos is Manny’s face when he realizes they are having a son.
